Shannon Webster – student
It’s very apparent that Nathan genuinely cares about the success of others. His podcasts have the information that you just can’t get from a textbook.
Moldover – the musical anti-hero
Outstanding! I really appreciate Nathan’s enthusiastic and thoughtful approach.
David W. Robb – senior associate at Acoustic Distinctions
Stumbled upon the Sound Design Live interview with Bob McCarthy while I was having my morning cereal. Wound up listening to the whole thing, which made me late for work. Definitely worth every one of the 67 minutes.
Tim Corder – design advocate at Mankin Media Systems
The resources you’re creating are spot on. They’re in a different league. Please keep it up.
Randy Hastings – Oregon Convention Center
I was inspired by your podcast to take on my first paid audio job at the Oregon Convention Center. I can’t wait to start doing work that I actually love!
Michel Aandewiel – Musicandproductions.nl
Sound Design Live is really an inspirational blog for me.
More about me?
Over the last 16 years I have lived in Austin, Denton, New York City, Lisbon, Bratislava, Berkeley, Oakland, and Minneapolis and have worked in recording studios, concert venues, theatres, and outdoor festivals. I’ve read a lot of books and trade magazines over the years and I’m tired of the dearth of career support for audio professionals. There is more to success than passion and luck, and I have dedicated this site to revealing the most helpful strategies and information. Read my complete story – From L.A. Bars to Pro Audio Career Coach.
Though I run a business, my belief has always been that I can share as much as 90% of what I know how to do for free, and that if you need more than that then you’ll likely want to pay for the extra help. I am available for consulting on your career path, business marketing, mixing, sound system design/optimization, and hot chocolate recipes.
